The ACW® represents the new generation of the CRAFT® winder and more than 10,000 have been sold since its presentation at the ITMA 1999. It has many new properties while maintaining the essential features and advantages of the previous generation (e.g. the bi-rotor traverse system, the automatic loss-free winder change and the co-directional catching).
ACW® craft winders with 6, 8, 10, 12 or 16 yarn-ends process standard, micro and high-count yarns with a mechanical speed potential of a maximum of 4,000 m/min (POY), and 6,000 m/min (FDY). |

Industrial yarns can be processed at up to 8,000 m/min. The many variants of the ACW® ensure the efficient production of tire cord and airbags and of yarns for belts, geotextiles, fishnets, tarpaulins etc.
Among other things, the advantages of ACW® include:
- customized package build for each material and each titer;
- highest wind up speeds;
- extended park time for finished yarn packages;
- electrical, maintenance-free chuck brakes;
- integration into the Windows-based electronic control system, GUIDE / Plant Operation Center (POC), developed by Barmag.
