REMSCHEID/SHANGHAI, 28 July 2008 – The 1000th FK6-1000 texturing machine manufactured by Oerlikon (China) Technology Co., Ltd. was delivered to Jiangsu Shenghong Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. A certificate marking the milestone was given to CEO Miao Han Gen during today’s Oerlikon Textile press conference at the ITMA Asia & CITME 2008. The Management of Jiangsu Shenghong attended as guests of honour.

Oerlikon Barmag Vice President Sales, Michael Korobczuk, was very pleased “that the anniversary machine went to one of our long-time customers and partners.” Oerlikon Barmag and Jiangsu Shenghong have worked closely over the last six years. Miao Han Gen explained why his company has continued its cooperation with the market leader: “We were very impressed by the top-quality systems and process expertise from Oerlikon Barmag’s engineers. This is why today we officially signed a letter of intend to purchase further Oerlikon Barmag texturing machines.” 

One of China’s largest producers of chemical fibres, Jiangsu Shenghong  operates texturing systems as well as POY and FDY spinning units with a daily capacity of 1,500 tonnes. Founded in China’s Jiangsu Province in 1992, the company supplies high-quality polyester yarn to the international textile market.
