The Multifiber solution opens up new areas for the application of manmade fibers. With extremely high numbers of filaments per yarn end, ultra-fine textile filaments (0,3 dpf) are produced efficiently with Oerlikon Barmag spinning technology and further processed with texturing technology.
Multifibers differ from conventional filament yarns in the number of filaments in one yarn during the spinning process. Conventional textile spinning processes achieve up to max. 192 filaments. With Multifiber technology spinning processes are available for up to 333 filaments in one yarn. With this unique technology Oerlikon Barmag offers an increase in productivity in spinning for standard POY Microfilament titers, such as 150f288 without plying.
