Steel cord made from high-tenacity brass-coated steel wire is of decisive importance for the strength and quality of a tire. The quality of each individual part is important in high-tech products such as tires. Both for cars and trucks, steel cord inserts improve both the safety and running performance of the tires.
Oerlikon Barmag double twister- and spiral-wrapping machines are the solution for the efficient manufacturing of steel cord. All machines are designed on the basis of the used technology, the components deployed and their layout to be gentle when handling the steel cord.
