| Saving energy in spinning - Smart spinning with e-save
As a future-oriented enterprise, Oerlikon Barmag is dedicated to the responsible and respectful treatment of nature and natural resources. Saving energy occupies a particularly important role in our research and development. Since 2005, lines, machines and components with at least 20% lower energy consumption in comparison with market standards receive the Oerlikon Barmag quality control “e-save” certification. Energy-saving components include HF multi-zone godets, the i-QOON winder and the SPx series spinning systems, to name but a few. Depending on the region, annual savings of between US$ 1,500 and 2,000 per position are achievable for an FDY system equipped with e-save components. An industrial yarn system consumes only 70% of the energy used by a comparable competing line. |
