Oerlikon Barmag pacemaker for machine construction development
Oerlikon Barmag, which has always been the pacemaker for machine construction development for spinning endless synthetic threads (filaments), today offers all manmade fiber manufacturers their own special, customer-oriented machine concept, tailored from a flexible, extensively modularized program. The high construction costs for individual projects has been reduced. All components influencing quality have been optimized.
The new design variety and the spectrum of possibilities we offer our customers can be seen in the spinning machine, which generates textile yarns from polyester or polyamide (nylon). The most important parameters for the layout are, firstly, the strength of the yarn to be produced, the so-called titer range and, secondly, the quantity output per year. These result in the number and performance of the modules utilized.
Melt preparation and distribution
Oerlikon Barmag extruders have an hourly melt throughput of between 120 and 820 kg. All subsequently used modules within the spinning process have a corresponding throughput such as the subsequent measuring head and the melt filter.
The melt pipes, in which the liquid polymer is transported to the spin head under high pressure, are designed in accordance with the customer’s building layout.
Spinning the thread
In the spin head, 4x6, 6x6, 8x6, 6x8, 8x8 or 2x10 threads are generated at the same time, depending on the diameter of the spin nozzles. Barmag spin pumps, which press the melt through the nozzles, are correspondingly available.
Cooling and drawing the threads
The subsequent quenching, in which the threads are cooled, and the take-up machine modules preparation, thread cutter, suction and godets for drawing the threads correspond to the thread count prescribed by the spinning head.
Fully-automatic take-up of the threads
The spin heads can simultaneously wind between 2 and 24 finished threads into packages. The design of the package size is adapted to the thread thickness. The take-up speeds range from 2,500 to 8,000 m/min. Replacing the full packages for empty tubes is always carried out at full take-up speed: without loss and fully automatically. |
