If you want to be on the safe side with your products and processes, we are there for you. At the Oerlikon Barmag state-of-the-art surface and material testing lab, we test materials and components in a competent and reliable fashion. We also perform damage inspections and are pleased to consult you in the areas of materials, heat treatment and surface technology.

Our range of services:

  • Scanning electron microscope + EDX analysis, also for low-vacuum samples;
  • Metallography for illustration of microstructure;
  • Hardness testing (various procedures, even micro hardness);
  • Roughness measurement;
  • Profile measurement;
  • Spectral analysis (Fe-, Al- and Cu basis);
  • Corrosion tests in salt spray or by condensation of moisture;
  • Ultrasound testing (UT level 3 DIN EN );
  • Plastics testing including DSC;
  • Fracture analysis;
  • Failure analysis;
  • Fast data transfer by means of digital picture technology.
