FDY spinning systems

With up to 24 threads per package unit to a leading position

There has been a remarkable change over the last decade: in the commodity spinning sector, extruder spinning systems have been virtually entirely replaced by highly productive direct spinning systems with capacities of 500, 600 or even 800 tons per day. This and the constant enhancement of the polyester polymer quality laid the foundation for the tremendous progress in polyester FDY spinning.

Nowadays Oerlikon Barmag’s 24-end spinning solution offer producers an efficient production of highest quality commodity yarns in a wide titer range.

The efficient solution for Polyester FDY commodity yarns:

Final titer:  50 to 100 den
Ends per position:  2 x 10, 2 x 12 (DIO or hydraulic split)
Winding system:  i-QOON
Quenching system:  cross-flow

DIO (double-in-one) technology enhances the yarn-to-yarn titer evenness. Two separate polymer melt flows are led through a package completely separately using their own spinning pump. This enables titer evenness identical to single packages while requiring 30% less space.

The solution for high denier yarns:
Final titer:   100 to 500 den
Ends per position:  6, 8, 10, 12
Winding system:  ACW
Quenching system:  cross-flow
