eFK – Are you ready to evolve?

The evolution of FK6 texturing

Manual type FK6-1000 texturing machines characterize the image of many production textured yarns sites throughout the world.

The bestselling FK6-1000 was introduced in 1994 and continues to enjoy huge popularity. But good things can be improved – so that customers are able to fulfill the current market requirements to an even greater extent using innovative technologies.

Oerlikon Barmag’s new texturing machine eFK is an evolutionary development. Proven components, such as the take-up unit and the pneumatic yarn string-up device have been kept – with technologies being used where they considerably improve machine efficiency, cost effectiveness and handling.

A trailblazing further development is the godet technology, which is already being successfully used in more than 200 MPS and Cocoon texturing machines. In the eFK, the delivery of the yarn is also carried out using godets instead of shafts both upstream and downstream from the texturing zone. In addition to higher yarn quality and process stability, they also guarantee a reduction in the energy consumption.

A range of variants and options also permit the efficient production of demanding (micro) yarns.
