WINGS, Oerlikon Barmag’s new Winding INtegrated Godet Solution, is a complete PES POY winding machine based on the ACW® winder, which has been proven to be the cutting edge winding technology in thousands of spinning and winding positions.

The integration of godets, intermingling device and optional online monitoring sensors expands your capability to further optimize production efficiency and generate higher profits with your PES POY production.

WINGS is GENTLE
The majority of yarn guiding elements is rotating with the yarn with a minimum build up of friction and thus less stress to the yarn. The repositioning of the godets and the intermingling unit results in an almost parallel yarn path with minimized deflection angles.

WINGS is ERGONOMIC
The mezzanine level of the take up panel can be omitted and the complete WINGS unit is floor operated so that all critical process components are in the operator’s view. For daily operations as well as periodic maintenance, easy access to all components is assured.

WINGS is INTELLIGENT
The Control Logic or PLC is integrated in the WINGS unit, assuring a rapid start-up sequence for a fast string up and immediate detection of wind up faults

And – WINGS is ECONOMICAL

• WINGS units can be arranged in such a condensed way that for a given production capacity about 25 percent of the required floor space can be saved.
  
• The installation and start-up time frame is reduced due to completely preinstalled and pretested winding units. The effort to position WINGS in a multi-storey building is reduced to a minimum so that your production can start ahead of schedule.
  
• Godets, intermingling and winding unit are easy accessible for the operator. WINGS is floor operated for safety and reduces the required time for string-up by 50 percent. This saves valuable time thereby turning otherwise produced waste into a premium POY product.
